Let’s admit it: at most gyms you workout with sweaty men hogging the machines and grunting and groaning while dropping heavy weights all around you. Going to the gym is usually not pretty but it makes me more uncomfortable when I have to work out in front of men eyeing my every move. And most gyms typically only offer no more than a shower and a smoothie bar as an additional amenity.
I had the pleasure of visiting Roc House Fitness Spa that is heads and tails above any gym that I’ve ever been to. Imagine a place where you can get workout, then get a massage, or a facial, or get your nails done or maybe get a new hairdo at the salon inside or even more you can get your makeup done because you need to head straight to an event afterward. All this and so much more is offered at Roc House Fitness spa located at 3402 Piedmont Road, NE, Atlanta.
And guess what, no men allowed. You can workout and get revitalized and pampered in a stunning setting without men oogling at you. This is quite a unique spa retreat. For one, the decor will truly whisk you away to a place where you can feel relaxed and comfortable — you won’t find plush couches and pillows in any ole’ gym!
Not only can you get the wonderful spa services I mentioned, but there are fitness classes like a Ballet Barre class I took, which incorporated Pilates and Yoga. It was a tough class but I survived! And I felt every ounce of that class the next day in my legs!
- ROC Boxing
- ROC n Row
- ROC n Run
- ROC Cardio Fusion
- Curvy Girl Fit
- Yoga & Pilates and many more.
Roc House fitness is a great place to go alone and get pampered which I plan on doing. I was treated to a mini facial by Tamika and it was SO luxurious and felt so good. I plan on returning because there is a Diamond Purification facial that I want to indulge in! And you get to indulge while sipping on their signature peach mimosa or a glass of wine. An added benefit that’s quite alluring!
Roc House was founded by former NBA superstar, entrepreneur and philanthropist Larry Hughes who obviously knows what women want! Roc House offers more than 14,000 square feet of space where you can dance, spin, cardio and take strength-based classes (Stiletto Fit, anyone?).
There’s also an all-natural cafe where you can eat healthy, look good, feel great! Check out @rochousefitness on Twitter
Thank you to RocHouse Fitness for inviting me to the blogger event and treating me to a facial, cardio class and brunch. All opinions are mine solely.
