Trying to keep a kids room clean

OK, I have to admit. This is quite a dilemma for me. I have a four bedroom house. Although only two of the bedrooms are occupied since my daughter left, she left her room a mess and she used to sleep in the downstairs room and left THAT a mess AND my kids room is somewhat messy as well. So the challenge for me is to clean all these rooms. And keep the kitchen clean, family room clean, all three bathrooms clean, and the loft clean AND stay on top of the laundry. All while tending to an infant who has started walking too early, a two-year-old who whines and crys too much, and a five and six year old who fight each other over simple stuff. Okay. So for those parents who have children, you can understand my plight. It is hard to do! So this week I have started my journey of cleaning house. Well actually it started a few weeks back with a garage sale. The problem really is clutter. Just too much stuff! HOWEVER, although I feel this way, the TYPICAL reaction I get from people who come to my home is: HOW DO YOU KEEP YOUR HO– USE SO CLEAN WITH SO MANY KIDS? I have a couple secrets. For one, the downstairs should always stay clean no matter what the upstairs looks like..LOL..I have to laugh at that one myself. Next, I FAITHFULLY get my carpets cleaned every two months like clockwork. No matter what, the carpets get professionally cleaned. If not, can you IMAGINE what my carpets would look like with all my kids???

And I mean I get the whole house and every room cleaned. Guess how much it costs me? $55 bucks! I swear. I have a warranty service with a company named Kiwi. Once you do the initial cleaning for a hundred and something dollars, you can get the same rooms cleaned for $4 bucks a piece as many times as you want during the year. Now, I haven’t found a solution with laundry. But I have made my kids start wearing their blue jeans an EXTRA time before washing. It helps. Actually I am going back to work in August for the first time in three years. I ALREADY told my husband that we will need a maid. I may have superwoman flying at the top of this blog, but I DO NOT have an “S” on my chest! I can’t do it all! 🙂

Wow, I wish I could get my carpets professionally cleaned. We just can't afford it.

Well… once you've found something that works for you… you'll do it in auto mode! I have found how to tackle our bathroom, the remote controls, my son's toys, and the the towels (you might want to stop my blog, I wrote about some). I still need to figure out the mail clutter and hmmm (confession) put away my clothes when I get them off! lol
