It’s been a long road and sometimes it’s been rough. But through all the ups and downs she came out on top. My oldest daughter Kaelani graduated WITH HONORS, on Monday from Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk.
I am so proud of her because she perservered. I am proud because she didn’t give up through all the difficulties of living in a new place with a new family and adjusting to a new life. Kaelani still did her best and graduated school with an advanced diploma. I’m happy for her and no matter what the future holds, I will love and support her and help her advance to excellence.
She was accepted to many colleges but will take a year off to tend to life. She now lives at home with us once again in Georgia.
Congratulations Kaelani. You are beautiful, smart and can be whatever you choose to be and it doesn’t have to happen overnight. Take your time and get it right instead of rushing and falling flat on your face. Either way, I’ll help you up and see you through because that’s what moms do!
