It was one of the most fun and information social events I’ve ever attended. Chocolate Chat held at KnightTyme Events in Decatur brought out Metro Atlanta’s business owners and financial experts to mingle, share information and learn best practices for their business. And it’s never too late to learn new things. I know I did.
The food was fabulous, the drinks were divine and the business relations I formed are priceless.
I represented my business, of course, Atlanta Diaper Relief, a non-profit that gives diapers to low-income families. We sponsored a raffle giveaway of a Starbucks giftcard and I spoke a bit about the business which is always key to expanding our reach and exposure.
Dianna Hicks of Luxe Events Atlanta, Planner of Chocolate Chat Atlanta and Ericka Tinsley, Blogger, Swarthy Daisy, Co-Planner of Chocolate Chat Atlanta organized the soiree and put together a who’s who of business experts known for their expertise in their respective areas.
The speakers were Patrice C. Washington is a personal finance author, speaker, coach and blogger at SeekWisdomFindWealth.com where she gives money advice with an urban twist.
Andrea Amir, who is a friend and fellow blogger has over 13 years of experience helping people reach their financial goals as a realtor, mortgage banker and educator. Andrea has an awesome financial networking group called “Smart Money Chicks” and last year she held her first conference called, “Worth It,” where Atlanta Diaper Relief was the sponsored partner! Andrea had some great finance advice, she knows her stuff and you can reach her at http://smartmoneychicks.com/
Also Speaking was …
Andrea Pendelton, a single gal in her mid-twenties who blogs at http://singleandsaving.com. Jemond White, a personal banker with the Cedarcrest Wells Fargo Banking system.
Kia Thomas a Relationship Manager for the Wells Fargo At Work Program.
And Corey Moore, Owner, Business & Tax Advisor, Fortune Financial Group, LLC. Corey really kept my attention and I do plan on giving him a call to help with business matters.
There were also great vendors like Soo Soo Tasty,
and Cute Chicks Cook. Also Stacey Taylor aka The SistahChick represented for the Natural Kids.
Her business promotes natural hair health style and maintenance for kids through the social networking website www.OurNaturalKids.Ning.com, or www.TheSistahCafe.blogspot.com.
And there were many more…
And there was live soulful singing by Chuck Benjamin
