Dream of seeing your child’s name in lights? Atlanta Parent Magazine is looking for kids to show off their unique talents at our annual Talent Showdown on August 18th at the Center for Puppetry Arts. If your kid has a passion to be an actor, singer, dancer, musician or something totally original, sign up to compete for a spot to perform at Family Block Party!
Guest judges will determine ten winners to perform at the children’s stage at Atlanta Parent Magazine’s Family Block Party on October 13, 2012 at Atlanta’s Mercer University campus. Family Block Party is Atlanta’s best family festival with more than 5,000 attendees. And our non-profit Atlanta Diaper Relief is one of this year’s beneficiaries!
One lucky contestant will be named the winner of the Talent Showdown and perform on the main stage of Family Block Party. This is a great opportunity for kids to show off their talent and gain valuable performing experience, plus it is sure to be a lot of fun for everyone involved.
Submit your application for the Talent Showdown and send Atlanta Parent a photograph and demo (web video, CD, DVD, website link) to be selected for the top 50 contestants who will audition on August 18th at the Center for Puppetry Arts.
Deadline for applications is Friday, July 13, 2012.
Entry fees are $25/act for up to four kids and $50/act for larger groups. Contestants will be grouped into age brackets (5-9, 10-13, 14+) and by performance category. All performances should appeal to a family-friendly audience.
