Style mavens like Beyonce’ and Angela Bassett have rocked signature B Michael designs, and it’s no wonder because his couture collections exude the same style and sophistication many socialites and celebrities are accustomed to.
But now B Michael’s couture fashions will be within reach of everyday mommas like me, thanks to launch of B Michael’s AMERICA RED Ready To Wear Collection at Macy’s stores nationwide!
From these sketches the line definitely looks like it appeals to me, a working woman. It has charm and sophistication and these sketches look conservative enough for the boardroom. I really like them and the suit really suits my style! B Michael is known for his sophisticated timeless designs and clean aesthetic. The ready to wear collection was inspired by the couture collection.
A graduate of the University of Connecticut and a former account executive for a Wall Street firm, B Michael decided to pursue his creative side and launched a successful millinery line after designing for Oscar de La Renta and Louis Feraud among others. The designer launched his first couture collection in 1999 with the help of PR Guru Eleanor Lambert, as with his approach to millinery, his designs exuded a glamorous clean aesthetic.
In 2011 B. Michael was commissioned to create the costumes for the late great Whitney Houston for her role in the film SPARKLE.
On April 22nd 2011 Jazz legend Nancy Wilson donated one of her B Michael AMERICA couture gowns to the Smithsonian. B. Michael looks forward to a long and successful relationship with Macy’s.
