New Social Media Influencers, get ready! #DisneySMMoms wants to give you an experience of a lifetime

Leanne Jakubowski, who is  the Disney Social Media MOTHER to all of us bloggers, but who is officially the Director of Social Media at Walt Disney World has announced that yes, the big conference is coming back but it’s all about inviting NEW influencers to experience the Disney MAGIC.

With that said, Leanne has given a lot of insight into the Disney mindset and what Disney is looking to do this May Print9th-12th at the 2013 Disney Social Media Moms conference.

They are making sure that the conference is INCLUSIVE and not clickish. Kudos to Disney. So that means that this year’s conference will include LOTS of new bloggers who have never experienced the conference. (I’ve been once.) That’s encouraging to all the bloggers who want to get to experience DSMMs but not sure how to get on their radar.

Well here’s some advice: Disney’s looking for you. Keep your tweets clean (Don’t tweet mean stuff to other conference-goers) and just be who you are. Disney appreciates and values those who own their individuality! And Disney looks for a variety of bloggers covering a variety of genres who can amplify their MAGIC message.

And Leanne said that this year will be more intimate, so perhaps that means less invites? In any event, it’s such a great event and such a great medium that you just can’t help wanting to go and be apart of something so great. I know I’d LOVE to return. I’m staying glued to my email!     Crazy question… Besides tweeting with the hash tag, how does Disney know we want to be invited? Do we need to ask to be invited? I don’t have a Disney focused blog but would like to be considered. [email protected]

    That’s a good question Sarah. Throw your hat into the ring and say something under the hashtag and invite Disney to check out your blog. They do pay attention to the hashtag. I would ask to be invited. Everyone else is throwing themselves into the ring so I would too! You never know! It could work! They are WATCHING!
