Walmart’s commitment to empowering women is evident around the world.
They give back in big ways and I have seen the positive effects first hand as they have helped numerous diaper banks across the 
country, including one I’m associated with, as well as shelters and dozens of minority-owned businesses which helped to boost the economic condition of millions of women across the globe.
By empowering women owned businesses, women can excel, grow and gain momentum if there is a support system that exists to help propel their businesses forward.
As part of a corporate commitment to empower women worldwide to build better lives for themselves and their families, Walmart announced the launch of Empowering Women Together. The company has committed to helping women globally by providing a platform to support them through an online portal where women can showcase their products to shoppers who want to buy unique and interesting products.
When purchasing these products, you help women around the world build a better life for themselves and their families. It’s all about giving a hand to those who need it. Especially in light of the fact that women all around the world continue to suffer economic hardships. Many live in deplorable conditions and selling their wares online is what will help change their circumstances.
Empowering Women Together is an online destination that gives everyone the opportunity to support these women.
Imagine buying jewelry from a hard-working mom in Kenya; accessories and apparel from a grandmom in Rwanda; iPad and laptop cases from women in Cambodia and Nepal or coffee and tea sets sourced globally and made in America. The Empowering Women Together campaign offers more than 200 items from 19 businesses in nine countries.
When you buy from these women, you help to improve their lives. You help to empower them so they can have a better way of life and feed their families. You assist in their efforts to lift themselves from the grips of poverty. You give them hope that their hardwork is paying off in a major way.
