My husband’s Public Love Letter

Talk about a Love Letter!

I have been going through a lot these past few months trying to lose weight and have successfully lost 16 pounds. My intentions were to blog about it when I lost at least 30 pounds because that would be half of 60 and 60 is my goal. And going through this process has been trying on me and my family. It hasn’t been easy by no means. And actually because of my husband’s support I have been able to thrive and have 16 pounds off because of him and his coaching.

With that said, a few days ago I was shocked when I saw my husband post a public Love Letter to me on Facebook. See, my husband has a Facebook account but he’s hardly on it. He keeps up with his family and friends but he’s not the one to post his every waking move (like I do sometimes).

My husband and I are like Yin and Yang, which is why I think we get along famously. I am the outgoing, social extrovert who talks a lot and he is the cool, very laid back, even tempered-quiet dude. And because of that, his personality allows me to be everything that I am and doesn’t disrupt his personality at all. We work well together and get along better than peanut butter and jelly. I could NEVER be with a man who is as outgoing as me. We would clash… big time. I HAVE to be the Queen Bee, that’s just the way it is. And a guy like my husband loves and appreciates me and thrives with a woman like me who is so on point. Yin and Yang. And we’ve been together for 12 years and I wouldn’t trade him for the world. It’s a great relationship. I’m thankful and feel blessed to have a man like him.

Okay, I’m getting to the Love Letter.

So the other day my husband poured his heart out on Facebook! He sure knows how to get my attention! My mother even called me because she was shocked too! Now don’t get me wrong, my husband tells me privately everyday how much he loves me and cares about me and he really treats me like a Queen. I mean the man never fusses and allows his perfectly ABLE wife to stay home and work from home! He’s a great guy- a real man! But seeing him publicly give me this support and boost that I needed because I had really been struggling so hard with weight loss really made my heart sing! There is something about hearing it and seeing it written. I think I read this a million times and everytime I read it, it warms my heart and makes me want to cry. Here’s what he wrote:

I have to take a moment to thank my amazing wife
The first time I saw you I was in love. I only had eyes for you. You were the most beautiful girl in the world to me I just knew that I had to have you for my own. Every time we ran into each other downtown I knew we were meant to be together I was in heaven any time I was with you. Your personality was magnetic. You were so kind, compassionate and loving – and the way you treated me and my kids with such admiration made me feel like the luckiest man on the planet.
I loved you then, and I love you even more now. You are even more beautiful to me today than on the day we got married. I love watching the way you take such good care of our children. I love seeing you cook my dinner and welcome me home after work every day. I love the way you like to flirt with me and how you make time to be with me and just relax and enjoy me. Thank you for accepting me and not trying to change me. Thank you for seeing the best in me. I love the way your eyes light up when I walk in the room still. I love the way your heart skips a beat when you know we are going to get some time together just to talk. I love knowing your heart. I love hearing about what matters to you. I am honored to be your husband. My life is so much better because you are here with me.

This is so sweet. When a man can declare from the mountaintops and profess his love, you know it’s for real! Well, I already knew. I’ve got it all. 🙂 Thank you Rudy. You’re my everything! Glad we found each other. You are my soul mate!
