Chick-fil-A has remixed and refreshed their salad menu and when I heard about it, it was music to my ears and tasting them was like a medley in my mouth!

I got the chance to try Chick-fil-A’s newest salads on Saturday and invited some of my blogger friends to try them out as well during a Meet, Eat and Tweet event at Chick-fil-A on Hwy 5 in Douglasville, Ga.

With choices like the  Chick-fil-A Cobb Salad, Chick-fil-A Asian Salad, Chick-fil-A Grilled Market Salad – as well as an improved Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap, the variety offers premium and nutritious ingredients, such as romaine lettuce, mixed baby greens, honey Thai almonds, roasted corn, mandarin oranges, strawberries, blueberries and more.

I indulged and chose the Grilled Market Salad because I love grilled chicken and it’s the optimum choice for me since I now lead a more healthier lifestyle. (I don’t like to say the word diet). And this salad made my palate sing. Paired with a Zesty Apple Cider Vinaigrette, I loved the Grilled Market salad’s mix of fresh fruits – strawberries, blueberries and apples – and the hint of spice on the grilled chicken. It was a delicious combination of spicy and sweet and had a very enticing and appetizing kick coupled with the freshness of the leafy greens. Compared to other fast-food chains that offer salads, this was indeed the freshest salad I’ve ever had.

And when I say FRESH, I mean FRESH. Check out this video detailing the happily handcrafted fresh salads.

Highlight: Grilled Market Salad

Grilled and sliced chicken breast served on a fresh bed of chopped romaine lettuce and baby greens, topped with shredded red cabbage and carrots, crumbled blue cheese and a mix of red and green apples, strawberries and blueberries. Served with Harvest Nut Granola, Roasted Nut Blend and Zesty Apple Cider Vinaigrette (or guest’s choice of dressing). The salad has 180 calories, 4 grams of fat and includes two servings of vegetables and one serving of fruit.

And starting at $6.79, each salad offers two or more servings of vegetables or fruit, and have between 180 and 430 calories (without dressing). Salads are freshly prepared throughout the day at Chick-fil-A’s 1,700-plus restaurant locations nationwide.

On Left Di-Di St. Louis from HealthyMommyHappyBaby.net and her sister Tai. On right Aimee from PrettyFrugaldiva.com  and her daughter.

Aimee from Prettyfrugaldiva.com delighted in the Cobb Salad drizzled with the Avocado Lime Ranch dressing. I tried it too. Aimee and I agreed that the hot, signature Chick-fil-A breaded and sliced chicken nuggets sitting on top of the salad was a delicious accoutrement to a tasty twist on an old favorite. No ham in this Cobb Salad but trust me when I say the ham was not missed! And pigs will be delighted that you are eating MORE CHICKEN!

Di-Di enjoyed the Asian salad and Tai loved the Grilled Market salad as much as I did.

Other dressings unique to Chick-fil-A that go with the salads include the Zesty Apple Cider Vinaigrette, Avocado Lime Ranch and Honey Sesame.

Complementing its new entrée salads, Chick-fil-A also debuted an enhanced Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap. The improved wrap provides a full serving of vegetables and lean chicken on a new all-natural, high-fiber flax bread. Starting at $4.89, the wrap is filled with grilled chicken, green leaf lettuce, shredded red cabbage, carrots and a blend of Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses. The Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap has 330 calories and 12 grams of fat.

Both ladies raved about Asian salad topped with pressure-cooked chicken nuggets served hot on a fresh bed of chopped romaine lettuce and baby greens, topped with shredded red and green cabbage, carrots and mandarin orange segments and served with Honey Thai Almonds, Chinese Garlic & Ginger Wontons and Honey Sesame dressing

And Rudy raved about the Cobb salad too. The mix of shredded red cabbage and carrots, roasted corn kernels, a blend of shredded Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses, crumbled bacon, diced eggs and grape tomatoes sent his taste buds on sensory overload! He said it was delicious! The salad is also served with Charred Tomato Crispy Red Bell Peppers and Avocado Lime Ranch dressing. The salad is 430 calories and contains 39 grams of protein.

I’m a go with the flow starter too! I like the quote: “You believe variety is the spice of life but too much spice will ruin the dish.”
