#Smurfs2 invasion July 31st and a tour of the Smurfs village @SixFlagsOverGa

I couldn’t wait until Saturday morning to tune in to the Smurfs and watch my favorite cartoon as  kid. We didn’t have the Cartoon Network back in the 80’s so Saturday morning cartoons was the only chance I got to watch my favorite shows and that was IF I got to the TV first before my brothers!

This past weekend my kids got to hang out with me at the Smurfs village at Six Flags Over Georgia in support of The Smurfs big return to the big screen this July in The Smurfs™ 2.

Papa Smurf, Smurfette and Clumsy Smurf are embarking on a tour across America and are bringing the Smurfs Village with them!

Me and Smurfs

From Friday, May 24th – Sunday, May 26th, the trio will visit Atlanta with the pop-up village, which features inflatable mushroom houses, an Eiffel Tower slide, a photo station and activities. Fans young and old will be able to meet the Smurfs! The Smurfs Village event is included in the admission cost at both host venues.

My kids got to color with Smurfs printables and watch the Smurfs 2 movie trailer. 023 022

Families lined up to take pics with the Smurfs and you better believe lots of moms and dads my age were jumping in and living the memories of their childhood.

In this sequel to the hybrid live action/animated family blockbuster comedy The Smurfs, the evil wizard Gargamel creates a couple of mischievous Smurf-like creatures called the Naughties that he hopes will let him harness the all-powerful, magical Smurf-essence. But when he discovers that only a real Smurf can give him what he wants, and only a secret spell that Smurfette knows can turn the Naughties into real Smurfs, Gargamel kidnaps Smurfette and brings her to Paris, where he has been winning the adoration of millions as the world¹s greatest sorcerer. It’s up to Papa, Clumsy, Grouchy, and Vanity to return to our world, reunite with their human friends Patrick and Grace Winslow, and rescue her!

Will Smurfette, who has always felt different from the other Smurfs, find a new connection with the Naughties Vexy and Hackus or will the Smurfs convince her that their love for her is True Blue? Returning cast includes Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, Katy Perry as Smurfette and Hank Azaria as Gargamel. Brendan Gleeson joins the cast as Victor Winslow. The film is directed by Raja Gosnell and produced by Jordan Kerner.  The screenplay is by J. David Stem & David N. Weiss and Jay Scherick & David Ronn and Karey Kirkpatrick with a story by J. David Stem & David N. Weiss & Jay Scherick & David Ronn, Based on the Characters and Works of Peyo.

This is a sponsored post. I was gifted with free admission to Six Flags Over Georgia but all opinions are my own.
