A friend of mine once told me that she loves to come by my Facebook page because it’s like a reality show. I swear I don’t try to bring the drama it’s just kind of the way the wind blows and it’s just the story of my life.
Raw. Honest. Real.
For the most part I have the greatest life ever. Kind of like a fairytale with my Prince Charming, a castle and kids. But then there’s a another aspect that keeps my readers scrolling through my blog. The ups and downs with dealing with life, the bull I deal with when trying to take on a job outside the home. Family feuds. Getting fed up and just plain ole life taking its liberty on me. And because I give it to you straight- no chaser, and even offer up advice on how to deal with the finicky things life throws at you, it makes for inspiration for so many of you. And for that, I am grateful and thankful you can find humor and be encouraged by what I write.
With that said, I am SO very thankful to have been named as one of 11 Mom Bloggers You Should Bookmark by Mommy Noire Magazine, a popular and progressive magazine dedicated to mature, multicultural women seeking organic dialogue about parenthood in the digital space.
Such inspiration and a nod from Mommy Noire really inspires me to take my blog up a notch. Sometimes you don’t know if your words really reach people. I know I get the traffic but people don’t always leave comments. But it’s great to know that people are reading and are being inspired by my words. And I am honored to share the space on Mommy Noire with women whom I admire Like Denene Millner of My Brown Baby and Good Enough Mother’s Rene Syler. Thank you to writer Heather Hopson who I found out started a diaper bank after reading about how I started Atlanta Diaper Relief! Who knew!
After a rough past few weeks I am so happy to receive this honor because it really lifted my spirit.
