My husband Rudy and I have never taken a vacation WITHOUT the kids. 12 years we’ve been together and every year it’s all about our babies. But we need a vacation too and a chance to enjoy each other and reignite our marriage (although sparks still fly even after 12 years). I love my husband and even though we’ve got a great relationship there are things we can both learn to become better mates. For instance I think every man can benefit from learning how to communicate better. And every woman can learn how NOT to sweat the small stuff.

This is a much needed retreat for us! As for the kids, we’re definitely not taking them on this one! We will probably have Rudy’s mother (my mom-in-law) stay at our home with the kids. Or I will have to fly my mother in to stay with the kids for 5 days. We’ve got time to figure that out!
For now, it’s time for me and Rudy to get serious about losing weight! And we’ve got to get our passports squared away too. I’m SOOOO excited beyond belief! And I just love Lamar and Ronnie!
