DISNEY BRINGS LOCAL AREA WOMEN DOCTORS TO HEALTH-FOC– USED “DOC MOBILE” TOUR FOR KIDS AND FAMILIES AT CENTENNIAL OLYMPIC PARK IN ATLANTA, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2013 

OVER 30 MEMBERS OF ARTEMIS MEDICAL SOCIETY TO ATTEND AND MEET THE STAR OF THE ANIMATED PRESCHOOL SERIES THAT INSPIRED THEM 

 CUSTOM 27-FOOT AIRSTREAM TRAILER SHOWS KIDS THERE’S “SO MUCH YOU CAN DO…TO TAKE CARE OF YOU!” 

WHAT: Disney Junior is bringing the role-modeling messages of its acclaimed animated series “Doc McStuffins” to Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park on Saturday, September 14 in the form of The Doc Mobile, a FREE event that invites kids age 2-7 to perform a “check-up” on their own toys plus participate in other activities and health and wellness lessons including nutrition and physical development.  START TIME now at 9AM until 4 p.m.

 Over 30 local area doctors from Artemis Medical Society – an organization of more than 2,900 women physicians of color from around the world who formed their group after seeing a reflection of themselves in “Doc McStuffins” – will be on hand to meet kids and parents.

 In addition to performing “check-ups” on their own toys at the five interactive stations located inside Doc’s Mobile Clinic, kids can:

  • Get active in “Doc’s Stretch & Flex” area 
  • Learn about the importance of drinking water at “Lenny’s Hydration Station” 
  • Understand how to create a healthy balanced plate at “Doc’s Picnic Time”
