Get ready for a new CBS show about us MOMS! #CBSMOM

I have a confession to make…MOM

I hide food. While that may not seem like a big deal the fact is that during grocery shopping I’ll pick out some goodies that I really like and my kids see me put them in the cart. But when we get home, the goodies magically disappear. I hide the good stuff in my room and profess to my kids I don’t know where in the heavens the food went! I hide the food— FROM THEM!

Why not buy enough for them? Because it’s bad stuff that I shouldn’t even have! But it’s oh-so-good when I steal a moment alone to eat snacks without them swarming around me with their hand out asking for more! By the time I usually divvy everything up between them all I barely have anything left for myself! So I decided to just buy what I want and hide out and munch on the food unapologetically in peace!

Okay, so I’m not a SHARER, but I’m definitely not ashamed because the truth is moms hardly ever get a break or a back-pat for all the work we do! Well CBS is taking notice about Moms and have developed a new show called MOM premiering MONDAY Sept. 23rd which definitely shows that life for moms is certainly more complicated than hoarding cookies. I will definitely be tuned in, watching MOM with my door closed and goodie bag while munching in bed! Ahhh the life of MOMS!

MOM
MOM is a comedy from executive producer Chuck Lorre starring Anna Faris as a newly sober single mom raising two children in a world full of temptations and pitfalls, and multiple Emmy Award winner Allison Janney as her critical, estranged mother. Christy is a waitress at a posh Napa Valley establishment who is four months clean and doing her best to be a good mom and overcome a history of questionable choices. Her sobriety is tested when her recovering alcoholic mom Bonnie reappears, chock-full of passive-aggressive insights into Christy’s many mistakes.  Bonnie joins Christy’s already complicated circle of relationships: her handsome, married boss – and lover – Gabriel; the restaurant’s hot-tempered chef, Rudy; her pretty, 16-going-on-25-yearold daughter, Violet; her sweet but overly honest son, Roscoe; her irresponsible ex and Roscoe’s father, Baxter; and Violet’s clueless boyfriend, Luke. Christy tries to remain positive as she pursues her new path in life, but she faces an uphill battle, surrounded by a dubious support system – and a copious amount of dysfunction.
Premieres Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at 9:30 ET/8:30 CT on the CBS Television Network.
