Why is it such a fight to get fit and lose weight?
Day after day I work to lose weight and while some days I feel like I’m knocking off the extra pounds with precision there are other days when I feel like giving up and giving in to sugary sweet temptations and tantalize my taste buds!
But if I give up then that makes me a quitter and a real big loser in the wrong way. So I’m trying. I started running with my kids during their track practice. I stretch everyday and I have tried stopped eating fast food. That alone is a big plus for me! I even took my kids grocery shopping for healthy foods because I want to teach them the value of eating right and choosing the proper foods that will help them live longer, thrive and ward off diseases and health problems. Obesity is real. And so is diabetes.
I also started a diet and exercise program for my kids and since August 14th, Mikaela lost 8 pounds and Kaitlin lost 10. Childhood obesity is an epidemic and I knew I needed to get proactive and help my kids take the reins and work on themselves so they could become healthier since my girls weighed as much as a grown adult!
I’m proud of their accomplishment. And some tips I’ve learned along the way on this fitness journey is:
- Eating at night does not make you fat – overeating does.
- You don’t need to do curls to get good biceps.
- Being skinny does not automatically mean you have a low body fat.
- The perimeter of the grocery store is where 90% of the healthy food is.
- If bad food is in the house, you’ll be more likely to eat it.
I’m at the point where I plan to incorporate a weight loss program into my daily regimen. There programs like Herbal Magic.
It’s always best to include help from nutritional and health experts and with Herbal Magic they can design a comprehensive weight loss plan to help you lose weight. Their personal Health Coaches will support you along the way. They will help you develop habits to maintain your ideal weight for the long term. It’s common sense and a great way to get you started on your weight loss program!
Let me know what you’re doing to shed your unwanted weight.
