Disclosure: I’m attending an all-expense paid trip, including airfare, hotel and meals to Los Angeles on behalf of Disney. All opinions in this post and future posts from this event are mine solely.
Who says it never snows in Southern California?
Well it was snowy and FROZEN at the El Capitan theater during the Disney FROZEN movie premiere on November 19th and I was there, front and center smiling and star-gazing and taking in all the whimsy of this winter’s soon-to-be most-beloved animated feature film.
Frozen comes out on November 27th right before Thanksgiving but I saw it first at the El Capitan! Along with 24 bloggers, I got to walk the red WHITE carpet! With paparazzi’s camera lights popping, and stars steadily streaming along and doing interviews, I made sure I stopped and posed for pictures with friends and with some well-known celebrities. It was a whirlwind.
Above you can see that all of the bloggers took a picture on the famous Oscar staircase. We got all pretty
and sparkly and rubbed elbows with the likes of the Pixar king, John Lasseter, Peter Del Vecho, the Producer of Frozen and Directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck (all pictured above)!
We even interviewed Kristen Bell beforehand, the voice of Anna, and you can see how beautiful she was above as she walked the carpet and took pictures with Frozen co-stars Josh Gad, who plays the funny snowman Olaf and Santino Fontana who plays the Handsome Prince Hans and Jonathan Groff who plays the brave Kristoff.
I was ready for my moment in the limelight.
There were lots of Disney kids stars there too! I definitely scored cool points with my kids because I took pics with China McClain and the group R5!
There were a flurry of stars! Neil Patrick Harris of How I Met Your Mother was out with his husband and kids and so was Melissa Joan Hart and her crew!
I still can’t believe I was standing in snow in Southern California! Disney thought of everything! They even had hot chocolate to warm our insides! And it was only the best chocolate Gharardelli!
And if that’s not enough they have a Disney Gharardelli Soda Fountain right next to the El Capitan with the most delicious treats!
Lots of lights, camera and action behind me!
After the premiere, there was the party and it was quite a sight to see. Snow Globe stations, some kids throwing faux snowballs, others making snowflakes and good food galore from Butternut Squash ravioli to waffle and ice cream sundaes the Disney way!
I had the time of my life and I owe it all to Disney! But more importantly the best part of the night was seeing Frozen and a little short movie called Get a Horse! Thanksgiving weekend you have to go see Frozen in 3D. It is amazing and even more I promise you that you will be HUGELY delighted by the little movie called Get a Horse. Disney really outdid themselves with that one. I PROMISE you’ll love it!
Stay tuned for more about my Los Angeles adventure with some upcoming posts about my experience!
