The Magic of Disney and the #TeamMom Movement #OntheRoadtoDisneyParks

Being a Team Mom is tough. You’ve got lots of planning, schedule juggling and prepping to do in order to help keep the team tight! Team moms are the glue that truly keep sports teams together. I had the pleasure of being a team mom when my son Jo-Jo played T-Ball.

And if you’re a mom totally into sports like I am then you would want to know all about the options your kids have to play sports. Like playing their sport at the Happiest Place on Earth! How can that be? Well Disney is headed to Atlanta tomorrow to explain just how! I’ve been invited to the Disney On the Road ESPN Wide World of Sports Event to learn all about the programs Disney has in place for your kids to play sports and compete at Disney!

DisneyOTRThis is the first time Disney Sports is taking the popular “On The Road To Disney Parks” event to Atlanta! I, along with other bloggers, will discover another side to the Disney experience with ESPN Wide World of Sports, which gives youth athletes, coaches and fans an opportunity to play within the magic of Walt Disney World, while also providing youth athletes, parents, team moms and coaches with innovative solution-oriented initiatives and programs that are making youth sports travel easier for the more than 35 million youth athletes throughout America and beyond.

I don’t know what’s in store but I’m excited to know I’ll attend a dinner reception where I’ll  will hear from youth sports experts and sports celebrities talking about what every youth sports parent and team mom needs to know to navigate their way through the youth sports travel experience. (I wonder who the celebrities will be!)

I will also learn about the latest trend around running-related vacations as evidenced by the growing popularity of the runDisney race series. And in typical Disney fashion, there will be famed Disney characters and a lot of Disney magic.

And I’ll be able to share with you in a future post:

  • Highlight solutions for parents seeking to make the youth sports travel experience easier
  • Tackle barriers to youth sports travel using tips on fundraising and team travel planning
  • Create an exciting and fun networking forum with influencers in your community
