#RisingAboveIt: The Mighty Strength of My Mother #WomenRiseAboveIt

This post is brought to you by the makers of Pine-Sol® Products. I have partnered with them to spread the word about the ‘When Life Gets Tough, Women Rise Above It’ campaign and sweepstakes. To enter the sweepstakes, visit  www.womenRiseAboveIt.com. All opinions and stories are my own.

I handle a lot as a wife, mom of five, business woman, blogger. And at times, life becomes overwhelming. I have my ups and downs but no matter how hard things get, I pull myself up, toughen up and get to the task at hand. And I know I definitely have my mother to thank for instilling in me the drive to never give up, push through my pains and persevere.  She has mental toughness that she has passed along to me and no matter what she’s experienced in life, she overcame it, rose above it and made the situation better. My mom raised five kids as a single woman. And even being alone, and struggling somehow she always made sure we had a nice place to live. And even though we were probably as poor as people who lived in the projects my mom said she REF– USED to move her kids into the projects and she worked hard and struggled to keep her kids out of the projects and living in a nice home. I don’t know how she did it but it took true strength in those days to raise three boys and two girls on your own and survive.

I truly admire my mom and I thank God I have a mom who taught me to be tough too.

It takes mighty strength to rise above adversity. And I challenge you to share your story of strength too. I am working with the makers of Pine-Sol® products to promote the ‘Women Rise Above it’ campaign. If you haven’t entered, please do so by visiting www.womenRiseAboveIt.com and share your story of hope like so many other women have.

Pine-Sol® is looking for inspiring women to share stories about how they too rose above their difficulties.

To recognize and celebrate the remarkable women among us, Pine-Sol® is teaming up with actress and activist Rosie Perez to launch the ‘When Life Gets Tough, Women Rise Above It’ campaign. From November 1, 2013 through January 31, 2014, women across the country are encouraged to contribute their own stories of triumph to Pine-Sol®’s moving collection of stories by visiting www.womenRiseAboveIt.com.

If you have a story of perseverance, then this is your chance to share it with the world and to inspire other women who may also be going through challenges.  Also, by entering your story, you will have a chance to win many great prizes, such as:

  • Once a week for 12 weeks, Pine-Sol® will award one lucky winner small tokens of appreciation (Flower bouquet + Pine-Sol® coupons)
  • Three first prize winners will receive complimentary house cleaning services for a year
  • One grand prize winner will be awarded an all-inclusive trip to enjoy a peaceful spa experience at a deluxe hotel.
