Throw the confetti and call Mickey and Minnie and tell them to make room for me because I’m on my way to Disneyland in California for the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration April 10th – 13th!
If you haven’t heard, the tinkerers behind the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration sent out dozens of invites last night which started the blogging birds buzzing on Twitter and sharing their excitement through the #DisneySMMoms twitter stream. For me, it was totally unexpected. So unexpected that reading the email made my blood pressure go up and my heart started palpitating and I had to go to sleep to calm down. OK so I get a little carried away when the powers that be at Disney invite me over to the big Mouse House. I can’t help it!
Anyhoo I’m honored to have been invited to the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. I get to see my online friends in person and I get to party and learn from some pros how to keep my business booming!

I have a feeling since the conference will be in Anaheim, we will see a lot more stars come out!
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Disney brings you face to face with top-notch speakers who share their wisdom and expertise and their war-stories about how they made it and became successful in their respective areas. If you want to BE the best, you have to learn from the best.
One of the biggest benefits of going to the celebration is the opportunity to also vacation Disney-style with your family. This year unfortunately I won’t be going with my family. I’m going all alone. But don’t feel sorry for me! Disney will keep me very busy and the conference will be bustling!
But for those who do bring their kids, there are lots of characters to meet and greet, parties in the street, exclusive behind the scenes tours and all-around big ole’ Disney family fun! Let me say this: Disney does it like nobody else I’ve ever seen. For real. It’s just that amazing.
And you know what makes this even more magical? I’ve never been to Disneyland! I really look forward to this year’s conference and can’t wait to share all the magic with you!
Quick Tips for Newbies
If this is your first time going to the conference. Don’t fret. Really. I mean it. Don’t fret or sweat because the Disney cast runs a smooth and orderly conference. In the daytime you will attend the conference and that means that your kids and significant other will be free to go to Disneyland and explore.
Other tips:
- Dress respectful but comfortable
- Bring your social media tools, smart phone, laptop, IPad etc.
- Be ready to have a good time

so envious! Living in Oz means this conference is just on my wishlist 🙁 But we took the kids to Disneyland last year [best holiday EVER!!!] so I’ll try not to be too upset. Would be ace fun, though. Enjoy 🙂
