Let me address this: I think it’s awful that rumors are circulating that Cynthia Bailey is running a scam through her website and even more egregious that CBS Atlanta called me and snooped and asked questions and I EXPLAINED to them my non-profit Atlanta Diaper Relief did in fact receive a $300 donation last year from Cynthia but due to lack of support we closed the organizations 6 months ago. They failed to report the fact that I said that and tried to infer in an article that Cynthia is cheating people. Cynthia is a great person. She REALLY truly is. There are so many so-called “ballers” in Atlanta but so few of them actually steps up to the plate to contribute. Cynthia Bailey is truly a woman of her word and tried to help our cause. I think the CBS Atlanta story is a farce and a witch hunt to try to bring her down. It’s sad. She really is one of the few philanthropic women in Atlanta and if there were MORE Cynthia Baileys then perhaps Atlanta Diaper Relief would NOT have closed. Where’s the story about the thousands of struggling moms who can’t afford diapers? And an organization that gave out 80,000 diapers last year had to close. Where’s that story? That is all.
It is so sad CBS didn’t report the facts as they were. Is there any way people can still support mothers who need assistance with diapers?
Thanks Tiffany. Yes it upsets me because they called me and I distinctly told them we received a check from her. But they chose to omit that fact. It’s not fair and I don’t like that. There are many homeless shelters that always need diapers for babies.
