The Day I Met my FAVORITE Music Artist @_JeffreyOsborne! @WolfCreekEvents

When you listen to someone’s music every single day and you’ve loved that person for more years that you can calculate and in your heart that person is your FAVORITE music artist and even beats out your favs like Mary J Blige and Patti LaBelle, it means the WORLD if you get a chance to finally MEET that person IN PERSON. And that happened to me when I attended a concert at The Wolf Creek Amphitheater and met my man Jeffrey Osborne! I am a huge Jeffrey Osborne fan and it probably stemmed from my mom playing his music all the time when I was younger and when he was a member of LTD!

Jeffrey1When I heard he was coming to town I told my husband to GET MY TICKETS! AND GET me GOOD SEATS because I wanted to be as close as I could be to Jeffrey.

jeffrey4But that wasn’t even necessary because because Jeffrey put on a spectacular show and interacts with the audience!! He was ALL up in the aisles trying to find people who would WOO-WOO-WOO with him! I was trying to get him to pick me without acting like I was too star struck and crazy but I didn’t get picked. I LOVED how he came into the audience several times. One paying tribute to George Duke, who produced many of Jeffrey’s hits. George passed away. Jeffrey jammed to some of Duke’s funkiest grooves. And he came into the audience and jammed with us too. And the highlight of my night was when I actually got to meet Jeffrey!Jeffrey Osbourne and meI wish I had posed better and didn’t look so crazy in the picture but I was super excited as you can see. My eyes are bulging out! LOL I’m just a happy camper because he was SO nice. Every time I meet a star they are usually not-so-nice or accommodating but Jeffrey was everything I thought he would be and I just couldn’t be happier.

By the way I got an autographed copy of Jeffrey’s new CD A Time to Love, where he sings classics like:

1. The Shadow of Your Smile (feat. Paul Jackson Jr)

2. Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight

3. Baby, It’s Cold Outside – By Jeffrey Osborne and Chaka Khan

4. (They Long to Be) Close to You

5. My One and Only Love (feat. Kamasi Washington)

6. Smile (feat. George Duke)

7. Teach Me Tonigh (feat. Everette Harp)

8. When I Fall in Love (feat. Rick Braun)

9. What a Wonderful World

10. Nature Boy (feat. Walt Fowle)

11. You Don’t Know What Love Is (feat. Rick Braun)

12. A Time for Love (feat. Kamasi Washington)

Jeffrey osborne The Wolf Creek Amphitheater is a great venue in South Fulton County and they have low-price events where you can bring your own chair, food and have a feast while watching your favorite artists!

Peabo Bryson and Freddie Jackson also jammed that night with Jeffrey. Peabo is GREAT in concert! I enjoyed him.
