My family is always on the go, but even when we’re home I’ve come to realize that we really need a house phone. One that serves a dual purpose as a cell and a house phone, and one that everyone can use and that’s easily accessible, convenient and that doesn’t cost me too much. That’s why I’m glad to say that I am TracFone Ambassador and had the pleasure of taking my kids to Walmart to help pick out an Android smartphone that the whole family can use.
First off, I love Android phones especially the Samsung Galaxy Centura, which is the one we chose. The phone cost just $59 and there is no hassle of having a contract. Although we chose our phone from Walmart there are tons to choose from at the TracFone online shop.
Even more, if you’re looking for a great phone for your kids, TracFone has a great offer with the Back-to-School Limited Edition Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Bundle (which launched July 6th!). TracFone has partnered with Nickelodeon and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to give kids the perfect introductory smartphone that has parental control options and features that parent’s will absolutely love. This product will be available in Walmart and Target, just in time for back-to-school shopping!
I picked out a phone plan with 120 minutes which I thought would be good enough, but was super happy to learn that we received 3x’s that amount of minutes for Talk, Text and Data! That is going to last us so long when you think about it. I won’t have to worry about paying for more minutes for a while. It’s so worth the price. By the way, the minutes only ran me $30 bucks.
I also received a brand new phone number but could have ported my old number if I wanted to. But like I said, we’re going to use this as a house phone and when my kids go out, this is their cell so I can get in touch with them since they don’t have a cell phone.
It was a short easy process to activate over the phone as well. Or you can go to the website and enter the phone details and activate too. When you think about how the cost of having a Tracfone will run you on average $7 a month with the $19.99 90-day plan, you’ll wonder why you’re paying so much for any other service. I didn’t realize these plans were so cheap which makes it perfect for my tweens, especially the touch-screen feature. My girls love to play games on the phone and the 3 MP camera will allow them to take selfies with ease. A new phone calls for new selfies, right?
