Get ready to indulge in some good eating at the Riverdale Seafood and BBQ Fest and I got a chance to take a sneak peek and get some good eats at a private blogger luncheon!
The food was divine thanks to Celebrity Executive Chef Sammy Davis Jr (T.I.’s Scales 925 and Winner of Food Network’s “Chopped” Season 10) who was front and center at the the City of Riverdale’s Cultural Affairs & Leisure Services Center. Mayor Evelyn Wynn-Dixon was on hand too to taste the mouth-watering fare from the festival’s top selected vendors.
I fell in love with chef sammy’s mouth watering seafood which he said contained two bottles of Miller Light. You heard right: Miller Light! It was SO good. And the baked beans from the vendor “I Don’t Need No Holiday To Barbecue” was just the BEST ever!!
The highly anticipated 5th Annual Seafood & BBQ Festival returns to Metro Atlanta. Hosted by The City of Riverdale, the Seafood & BBQ Festival is one of the largest seafood and music festivals in the south attracting over 10,000 people across the region. This year’s Seafood & BBQ Festival will take place at The City of Riverdale Town Center on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 12:00pm – 7:00pm.
This year’s theme is Seafood vs. BBQ, which will include a “sauce off”, celebrity cooking demonstrations, surf & turf tastings, and some of the best seafood and bbq restaurants and vendors around town.
Focusing on the pillars of food, music and community, the Seafood & BBQ Festival is the perfect farewell to Summer with live entertainment, great food and activities for the entire family. This year’s festival will feature live performances from Rapper’s Delight, a taste of the Caribbean experience, flavorful mouth-watering seafood brought in from the coast and slow-cooked BBQ, celebrity competition cook-offs and more all at a ticket price of only $5.00.Children are welcomed and will have a family-friendly dedicated area.
