Let’s talk about FRESH baby!
I was invited to an exclusive premiere of the new Ruby Tuesday Garden Bar which boasts more than 70 new ingredients, hand-made dressings and bursts of flavor to create your dream salad sensation. As you know a Garden Bar at a restaurant can truly be a bore, but not Ruby Tuesday’s! My mouth was delighted with sensation as I tried out the various new fixings to make my own perfect salad. This is the first time Ruby Tuesday in Metro Atlanta is premiering this fresh, new Garden Bar.
The chain said it has doubled the variety and selection to create a Garden Bar with 34 items to more than 70 fresh ingredients, such as fresh greens, raw vegetable toppings, roasted vegetables, marinated vegetables, crispy toppings, hummus, dips and fruits. It also includes 10 new house-made dressings and it’s all for $9.99.
What makes the Garden Bar fixings pure perfection is not just the fresh ingredients (which I will discuss in a second) it’s the fact that they were created with love by executive chef Peter Glander who really put HEART into the new selections at the Ruby Tuesday Camp Creek location in Atlanta. Listen, a lot of restaurants don’t put top chefs with true culinary skills in their kitchens, but Ruby Tuesday does. As a mom of five, it means the most to me to know that Ruby Tuesday offers fresh meal choices with affordable prices coupled with the fact that an executive chef is in the kitchen and his expertise is behind every meal.
Chef Glander put thought and love into the eclectic items. He even said if he was not a chef, he’d be a farmer because of the love he has fostered for fresh foods. Check this out: the dressings are hand-made, NOT out of a bottle that’s been sitting on a shelf! They have carefully selected ingredients. For instance on my salad I had Fresh Greens which included a Kale and Brussel Sprouts blend. Then I topped my salad with butternut squash, feta cheese and drizzled it with Cilantro Lime vinaigrette. I then added bright roasted tomatoes, Parmesan chips, eggs and candied walnuts. And then I took my #SaladSelfie. This was pure perfection!
Other Garden Bar items include:
TOPPINGS:
- Roasted Corn
- Grape tomatoes
- Diced Cucumbers
- Spicy Roasted Broccoli
- Spicy Roasted Butternut Squash
- Marinated Artichoke Hearts and more…
It also includes cheeses like the Parmesan Chips that are to die for. I could have munched on them all night! Other cheeses include: shredded Pepper Jack Cheeses, shaved Asiago Cheese, Aged Cheddar and hand-crumbled Feta. (You’ve got to really have LOVE for your cheeses to take the time to hand-crumble them.)
Then there are the specialty hand-made dressings that deserve their own standing ovation because they were delicious:
Let’s talk about the Champagne Apple Vinaigrette for a sec. Can you say, DELICIOUS! This dressing had roasted apples and caramelized onions with a touch of champagne vinegar. It was simply the best!
The Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette was my favorite too. It’s an extraordinarily crisp flavor highlighted by freshly-squeezed lime juice, cilantro, cumin and jalapeno. Other in-house delicious dressings include:
- Garden Herb Ranch
- Garden Herb Vinaigrette
- Feta and Olive Vinaigrette
- Sesame Miso Vinaigrette
- Buttermilk Blue Cheese
- Raspberry Poppyseed Vinaigrette
- Creamy Caesar
- and Honey Mustard
Again, you can make as many salad variations as you’d like and eat as much as you want on the Garden bar for $9.99. You just can’t beat that. So feel free to try them all!
They also have a selection of prepared salads too like the Southwest salad and Asian salad. And oh my I had a dessert that really spoke to my soul. I tried their new Apple Crumble Flatbread and y mouth is watering now just thinking about it! It was so good with juice, fire-roasted fuji apples atop a crispy flatbread sprinkled with oatmeal crumble, caramel and powdered sugar and served with vanilla bean ice cream. I looked Chef Glander right in the eye and asked him if he was responsible for this delicious concoction because I was in LOVE with it!
Thank you to Ruby Tuesday for introducing me to their new Garden bar selections. I appreciate learning about the initiatives behind the magic from Executive Chef Peter Glander, CEO JJ Buettgen and CMO Dave Skena. They are a great group of men who care about families and our experience at their restaurant. Well they can count on my family coming back to Ruby Tuesday for more of these mouth- watering selections!
I hope you check out Ruby Tuesday too and visit them to see all of what the Garden Bar has to offer by going to RubyTuesday.com and on IG @RubyTuesday and Twitter and Facebook @RubyTuesday. Also be sure to take your own #SaladSelfie and post online!
Disclosure: I was given a free opportunity to taste all of Ruby Tuesday delicious foods and all opinions are mine.
