Family Fun Day: Whitewater Debuts New Wahoo Racer #ScreamWahoo

You will SCREAM as you stream and slide on down Six Flag Whitewater’s new Wahoo Racer!

I was invited out to Six Flags Whitewater to be the first to try out the Wahoo Racer and it was the first time I ever attended along with my family. The real question is: why did we wait so long! It was a day of pure family fun. Truly. First let me tell you about this new awesome mega slide.

The two-tiered mat slider sent racers through an intense, snake-like stretch and then onto track-like style sprinting lanes, featuring:

· A tower standing 60-feet and easily visible from Interstate 75 where the park is located;

· Speeds of up to 40 feet per second;

· 7,200 feet of translucent water slide tubes; and

· Six aero-dynamic designed water toboggans for the ultimate competing thrill.

My kids had a roaring good time slipping and sliding and racing each other down the slide. I was supposed to enter a race for charity but got sidetracked after my daughter Kaitlin lost a pair of glasses on another water ride. Shout out to Whitewater for sending a swimmer in to find them. Tip: Be sure to tuck glasses and valuables away before swimming!

After we screamed our lungs out on the Wahoo Racer, we spent much of the day at the Atlanta Ocean Wave Pool. That was so relaxing. Returning for the fourth season – they have Dive-In Movies at the Atlanta Ocean Wave Pool. Every Thursday evening in June and July, guests can watch family-favorite movies on a massive 15 by 30 foot outdoor screen, while relaxing at the wave pool.

Six Flags White Water is now open for the 2016 season. The water park is open daily from May 26 through July 31. Weekend operation will then continue until October 2. For more information and the Dive-In Movies line-up, visit www.sixflags.com/whitewater.
