Delicious food that melted in my mouth was plentiful at the grand opening of Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill at the Mall of Georgia. I got the opening to get a preview of their new menu and if I were you’d I’d skip having a BBQ and just head over to Smokey Bones for one of the most delicious and smokiest eats I’ve ever had the pleasure of previewing.
At Smokey Bones, they specialize in three things: good food, good drinks, and good times. That was apparent in the atmosphere where the waitresses were personable and made sure we were all-set and our cups stayed filled to the brim. Here’s a fellow blogger friend Oh Nikka, trying out one of their drinks.
Smokey Bones is a bar and fire grill, but not necessarily in that order. They are grill masters who respect the power of the open flame. They boast simple, yet flavorful recipes and believe marinating is not to be taken lightly. When I tell you their food was moist and delicious, I mean it! I ate and ate and ate. Their wings were the most flavorful I’ve ever had. For real. And their ribs were to die for. Forgive my plate for being overloaded but it was SO good!
They know medium-rare isn’t the only way to cook a steak, but believe it should be. I’m not a steak person but I took one bite and it was simply succulent and delicious. Obviously they know what they’re talking about!
They believe pork should be slow smoked and pulled often. Slow, as in 11 hours over hickory logs every night, and often, as in every day at every restaurant. They mean business when it comes to pulled pork! We know it’s our bartenders who make our drinks great, not the liquor. Although the liquor doesn’t hurt. We think beer should be ice cold and consumed regularly. We know our servers bring much more than food to the table. We are big fans of sports, loud music, and surprises. And we believe in laughing often, especially at ourselves.
This is the place you can call your home away from home with good food, good friends and excellent service. Be sure to visit 3333 Buford Drive NE and thank you to Brave Public Relations for the invite out! (All opinions on the exceelence of this food, are my own!)
